However, the % window still shows around 50%. I`m going to leave it there for awhile, because my AVG scanning program happens to be running right now. Maybe after it`s finished the core will be used more by the folding program. As for reloading the FAH program, why do I have to wait until a work unit is finished? Plus, I may be at work or somewhere else when this takes place. In the "configuration" tab of the FAH program the core usage is still set at 100%, with the dot (checkmark) set on the second option and not the first one, which is "low" priority.
Hey Buick,

Last night I reloaded the FAH program. But instead of downloading the first option for Win XP, I downloaded the second one. It appears that I did the correct thing, because my core(s) are now showing 100% in the taskmanager`s window. I won`t know anything until the work units are finished. Hopefully, this doubled my core output, as it shows two cores working instead of just one.

Hey LBN,

That's pretty funny. Retiring earlier!! I thought I was - Once.... Oh well. The new job is keeping me busier than I expected. I haven't posted on OCN or this thread in a couple days.

Well I have two days off now, but so much work to do around the house. It just never stops it seems...

BTW - What did you do for your birthday?? Just curious what 17 year olds do these days...

Take care, :-)

It was nothing extraordinary. Got a few CDs and stuff, had some carrot cake (homemade!), got well wishes from my friends. Cutest thing was that my (now official) girlfriend made me this really cute homemade birthday card.

And man, school is heating back up. Getting into gear for finals...

Hey Buick,

Well, one of my cores has completed a work unit (5,000,000 steps), but the other one has had some error called, " FILE_10_ERROR ". This error has occurred 7 times and has caused the core to start over after each error. Now, it has finally completed 50,000 out of 5,000,000 steps. What kind of error is this, and how do I correct it (or can I do anything about it)?

Oh wow lol sorrry. But enjoy the summer while you at it!

My summer courses start today...I have Physic I & Lab, Chem I & Lab, and Public Speaking. Yeah though I do a lot of large group talks, but it's hard for me every time so I was hoping this class would help lol. We were talking about ourselves and although I didn't have much to talk about me, many older people have so much happened and going on. I just realize this and admire them. One of them returned from AF, spent their base time in Aus in a middle of nowhere. Now he wants to be a teacher. He said he has a hot daughter and not only he has to watch out for her but also every boys in the age that live on the planet lol. One of my friend, he's getting over 50 by the end of this year and he told me how he did not finish highschool, basically broke and had to eat bugs to join the Navy and demanded his education, and he spent his serving time going in and out of schools in Navy and he didn't have to hold a gun any time. He got to go so many places and all expenses paid for by the Navy. Because he was so good at his stuff (this guy can fix anything, I mean ANYTHING, just not his love life), Navy putting grands in cash for him on the table to bribe him to reenlist but he refused. In the courses of his life he had sold a house for millions and got divorced and now he lives in a small house that he built out side of town, goes to his job that paid him to teach or do something else all day long. He got offered vacations all expenses paid, jobs that give him spare cash every other weeks and he turned them down.

ok lol sorry, kinda went on there but I think people beyond 40 are very interesting and can be very amazing.
