He says I sent him a different one in the series, but I know this is not correct. I list by ISBN number, and the ISBN of the book he purchased from me and the book he claims I sent him are totally different. I've never even seen the other book! And it looks totally different. So, I said he could return the book to me and when I received it I would refund the money. I gave him my address to send back to, but I never heard back from him. Nothing about being sent or what carrier or that he had changed his mind. Nothing. Well yesterday I get an email from the guy asking where the hell his refund was, and I emailed back saying that I'd never received the returned book, and so as such I wouldn't refund it (I'm not gonna fall for that scam). He sends a furious reply, calling me an *******, and then leaves feedback calling me a scam artist. Meanwhile, I've already left him feedback (luckily he didn't leave it as negative, it was still positive) several weeks ago when I first sent it out. I said the usual thanks for buying and that he was fast at replying to emails (this was before the wrong book claims). The transaction will be a month old tomorrow. I just really hate people like that. The guy is a corporate buyer for Toshiba North America, and has racked up tons of feedback. Of course, he never sells anything, so you can't leave negative feedback on the guy (big mistake).
I feel your pain!
I recently had the same experience with a person here at OCN.... We are still trying to get resolution. Like yours, it's a he said, she said thing. Right now I'm out $90.00, with no product. I've had one or two of these bad transactions over the years at eBay as well.. No matter where you go, you'll run into these type people.
My thought - he ordered the wrong book (from you), and now says you shipped the wrong book. Taking no blame for his stupidity... It's where our society has gone these days. I take no responsibility for my actions, whether right or wrong!
Suggestion - Once you get some finality to the issue, I'd block his E-mails with a spammer type program. Every E-mail program has those type filters. As for the feedback. Hopefully, you can state the same thing as a reply, as you stated here. That way other folks can read what went on, and make their own decisions whether to buy from you...
In the meantime, hang in there! :-)
