Hi shajbot,

Thanks! As to your question, "What's next?" First get everything back to normal November 1st! Trying to keep track of 8 rigs is tough, especially when people like playing games on them, turning them off, power outages, electrical storms, and normal Window XP problems... You know what I mean, hey??

I liked just having 3 rigs dedicated to Folders Inc. The others I can let Team_Folders have and make repairs as needed. It also allows me to play my games on my rig too. I've stayed off that over the past 2 weeks as well. It's been tough though!

We'll see how the gpu folding goes! It's still in a "beta" program setting, and I don't like those too much at all. Too many bugs. But I'll try it.

Thanks for all of your help! :-)

Just the simple 3d mark 06. You dont have to do it, its a 580 meg download. I just wanted to see how it scores since its taken the lead in video cards again.

Hi cappy,

I believe I have already downloaded the program on my main rig. I'll try and burn it on a CD and run the benchmark for you...

I've been reading that the gpu work unit progress and completion rates are high, but have a lot of bugs. Like not transmiting results, not compiling correctly, etc. I'm hoping I don't have those problems since the rig will be dedicated to folding and not also used for gaming, desktop work, etc...

We'll see how it goes.

Take care and Fold On! :-)

That's just because of 455buick's successful quest for 100k. I'm sure you guys will be back in the top 5 once his rigs count towards the team again.

Hi shajbot,

Not to worry! I'll be back in 10 days... taeric made the adjustments as noted in his post with regard to my point totals.

BTW - The X1950XTX arrived yesterday. Looks sweet. I'll take a quick pic and post If I remember to do so before the install. I'm going to let the current WU complete tomorrow. I'll probalby install the gpu WU program Sunday. If all goes well, maybe I/we will see how fast the gpu can really fold.

According to Stanford, the cpu might also be a bottle neck. Some of the WU's are becoming cpu dependent in compling the frames before uploading to Stanford. They are working this stuff out as I write this. They are also seeing a lot of EUE's. Early Work Unit Endings. I think it's because people with this ATI video card series (X1900..) installed on their rigs game alot and the WU's get lost or corrupted. Imagine that!! Using the one of the best video cards out there right now for gaming and not folding!! Makes you wonder, don't it?? LOL...

Take care, and Fold On!

Hi taeric,

Thanks for the post and info... The X1950XTX video card has arrived and will be folding by Monday, I hope... I'll keep you posted... That should also help Folders Inc in the team competition.

BTW - Have you seen the success of Team_Folders_Inc?? They will be in the top 100 by Monday or Tuesday. Says a lot for our team, doesn't it...???

Take care, :-)
