
You're right, I meant the top heatsink seen on the right ( 2 of them ). I don't know why it was missing half of the thermal pad, it seemed like it had been ripped off. Usually I'd send anything similar straight back but this time I just wasn't feeling like waiting for a month to get it back so I decided to fix it myself.
After an hour long BFBC2 session with stock clocks the core didn't go above 40c and all the VRM's stayed below 55c
The cooler itself though is massive. It covers nearly 3 PCI slots below it, although you could probably fit a card in the 3rd slot if you pushed this one back abit, but I'm not in a hurry to try yet. My physx card isn't coming back until my brother gets his new PC
