3700 San Diego KAB2E, KAB3E or the 3700 E6 Stepping San Diego (Actually a Toledo DC) - Page 2

this is really interesting... I wasn't aware that AMD was selling dual cores w/ one core turned off as single cores... if there is a way to enable them then I see this as the next big fad.

I just go the ***3700KACF from Newegg this week, These are E6 Steppings.

Got it stable at 2.75 Gig, no problem, on a Zalman 9500

It's running about 39-40C loaded

But seriously, and maybe you can help me Crash.

I tried to set the FSB to 260 but the system was most unstable.

I tested the ram at 240, I'm running a 9/10 divider so I should have plenty of headroom on the RAM.

I suspect it has something to do with the PCI-E Frequency and the SATA

Can I lock the PCI-E Bus Frequency or is it already locked at 100 ?

it should be locked, but there will be a spot in your BIOS where you can chang it and/or make sure it's locked.

what is your htt multi set at? 4x is good for up to 250, but above 250 you need to bump it down to 3x. if you forgot to do this then we've probably found your problem

if you feel like you're running into a wall then run through this:
http://www.overclock.net/faqs/31782-...limits-my.html
that way you'll know what component is holding you back and you can act accordingly to get a higher OC.

Set PCI to 33 and PCIe to 100
You may need to up the nForce chipt voltage along with the LDT (Mem ctrl) voltage to help with stability.
Soloz is refering to the LDT multiplyer
