Bought A X1800XL... - Page 2

Hey, I have the exact same card! It runs like a damn cheetah! Check out this website http://www.legitreviews.com/article/276/1/ for some benchmark comaprisons in terms of overclocking. Apparently an OC'ed x1800xl can outperform an oc'ed 7800gtx! I must say that from my results of overclocking, I am more than satisfied with the performance and am certain that it can handle the next generation games, even with directx 10. Quake 4 runs seamlessly with vsync, 1024x768, AA2x, full detail, etc... Have fun!

Use AtiTool beta 13 to overclock, I have been using it an it overclocks just fine. I also recommend using the latest omega drivers (they're based on cat 6.2 so no worries there) for the extra seamless performance boost.

I use this current clock:
600mhz core/635mhz mem @ 1.1vcore/1.903vmemq/1.903vmemc
For 3dmark06 and 05 results see the pictures below.

The max I use without surpassing my own personal tolerance for risk is:
625mhz core/675mhz mem @ 1.25vcore/2.001vmemq/2.001vmemc
