but! dells machine is much more easy to use because they got perfect match between the mobo drivers and the vga drivers... but still this is Overclock.net and here we do everything the hard way (AKA the better way!)... with some conf we can make the mobo and cards work prefect! and 4 7800GTX 512MB GeForces aint cheap
No, the Dell is far superior. It uses 4 PCB's linked with a SLI bridge and it goes into 2 slots I beleive. And it has the drivers, while the Gigabyte uses 4 slots with no driver support. So the gigabyte = crap.

yep 2 x16 PCI-Express that what i ment! each card uses x8!
and you connect the first two cards with a bridge and also the second two and let the basic SLi drivers do the thing they do best! and about the drivers... we just need to tweak a bit! well im just waiting for someone to come and buy one of those mobos! i want to see it in action!!!

Dell's is still better nonetheless though, with dual slot coolers like on the 7800GTX 512 that you can buy it wont fit 4 cards.

listen its one of those things that just gotta be tested first! after we will see a working GIGABYTE 8N SLi Quad Royal using 4 7800GTXs with 512MB each we could if this thing is for real! and it will be nice to take a Quad SLi Dell system and compare pref with a GIGABYTE 8N SLi Quad Royal system...

What be real? The Dell quad SLI? Its real, and much much different then the quad-SLI board, along with it being alot better. Drivers will never be released for the x4 SLI on the board because #1 nobody has the money for 4 cards, #2 Nvidia doesnt feel it would even help them.

Where does it say the Gigabyte board will run QUAD SLI? All I read is support for up to 8 monitors. It's still a 32x sli mb running 2 cards in 16x sli. The new Intel 975 mb has 3 pci-e slots but is isn't triple sli.

Reffering to that board, which indeed does run 4 cards in SLI, but it does very poorly.

I'm aware of that....
http://www.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard...ad%20Royal.htm
but nowhere here on the manufacturer's website does it mention running 4 cards in sli. Has someone tried/done this and done a review on it? Cause I can't find anything about it.
