I am heving the same problem. Currently the game crashes back to the desktop with no warning. I'm trying to determine if it is a sound problem because sometimes I will hear a screeching/grating sound.

Does anyone know if the AC'97 onboard sound supports hardware mixing/EAX 2.0? I also had the "\
_displayinfo 1" function enables when it was crashing, so who knows...
I really think this is a sound issue for some strange reason. I even get audio glitches on the main screen when that camera makes a complete trip around the island.

EAX is Creative's proprietary audio enhancement API, I didn't think you could enable it unless you had a SoundBlaster card.

I hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but since this one was concerned with FarCRy crashing, I thought it was applicable.

I have the Realtek ALC850 audio chipset. After I disabled the EAX and hardware mixing I have not had a crash.
