Flip the laptop over onto its top. Under the DVD Rom there is 2 screws. Loosten it and remove the drive. You will then see the 2 screws holding the hard drive bracket, and it simply slips out.

If not, turn your lt upside down with the back facing you.
Remove the two screws on the lh edge holding you cd/cdrw/dvd.
Slide it out.
you will now see your hdu, also retained by two screws.

Hope this reply is not to late, and the lt is fishfood somewere......

It is really very simple on the Series CM2110 w/ Dual optical drives. Flip the unit over and look for two mounting screws for the DVD drive or Optical drive next to the PCMCIA port. Remove the screws and remove the optical drive. You will see a plastic mounting tray held in by two screws. Remove the screws and remove the tray holding the HDD. You will have to pull out then up to remove the drive. For installation, reverse the procedure.

Okay here's how to do it:

1. Take out the left side optical drive as you face the screen normally.
2. Behind that you should see two screws for the hard drive mounting bracket.

I hope this helps.
