How about a max htt frequency competition?

Just read a review on this board that came out today. The guy only managed 265 which.... is kinda laughable imo.

I know 300+ on the release bios was possible, what can it do now?

I can sit by and watch, getting used to it now

I can't go over 287 :| It wouldn't post or anything and I have to clear the cmos to get it to work. I'm too scared to flash the bios lol. But I could try sometime.

.... 287 is about the same limit that I've hit with the TA890GXE.... do you suppose there's a bit of an HTT freq. gap there to overcome?

Keeping the ram under 1600 and on the 1066 divider seems to be the key 300+ is defo there.

In your opinion el gappo, what is the highest safe voltage for a thuban? I won't be able to use my desktop for a while as I don't have a DVI-VGA connector for my monitor I forgot it at home. I'm now at my dorm. SUCKS SO BAD to use a craptop for a week. It's so damn slow. LOL

Will definitely try to push my chip even more. My temps were decent even when it was really hot in my room(low 50'sC). 75-80F I think ambient. Now I'm in a colder place, so I'm expecting a better overclock.

For every day 1.475vcore and for a quick bench run I'd go up to 1.6 whilst clenching my buttcheeks very tightly and not loading up all cores because temps would be huge.

So I'm guessing 1.488 is a little high then? When I get my adapter thing, I'll definitely fix my bios settings and find my best OC for my chip.

The only con about the board is IMO not enough PCIe slots for triple crossfire/SLI(hack). I love it!
