Still need to find time to re-OC my sigrig
Can't seem to reach 4ghz anymore since I moved. I re-seated my heatsink, so could that be the cause? I will probably reseat my heatsink if that's the problem. When I use prime 95, the temps don't really go up, like low 40's. So I don't know what the deal is.

Anyone got ideas?

Finally got the new RAM in.

Going to see how well the Ripjaws fare with the mediocre IMC of my chip.

So I may end up buying a TA870+ if an RMA that has been going on for over 2 months takes much longer...

Is it true that that particular model won't let you adjust the processor's multiplier in BIOS? Because some reviews I have read say that even if you have a BE processor the multiplier adjustment isn't even there...

Thanks

Edit: Looked more closely at Gappo's review, and it seems that the other reviewers were idiots wrong.

It would work fine.

I think that either this board really hates my RAM, or my chip's IMC is much worse than I thought.

I can't get my OC stable after getting my timings tighter than 1600 8-8-8-24 1T.

Tried setting the CL to 7, got a CMOS Checksum error. Upped the DDR voltage to 1.65, still the CMOS checksum error. Loosened it a bit to 7-8-8-25-33 1T @ 1.65V, still a no-go.

Any suggestions?

Sorry for bugging again, but I have a quick situation.

I've been fooling around with my DPC latency for awhile, and sometimes it spikes to 500-600 from it's usual 150-200 by ataport.sys.

I downloaded the drivers off the TA890FXE page, but it does not explain how to use them...I've never dealt with drivers like these before so bear with me..any help? DX

Also is 150-200dpc latency too much anyways?

That compatibility problem I was talking about a while ago. 8-9-8 1800 should stick, or close to it. It's just the type of IC's.

Are you having audio problems or something? I guess the spikes are down to i/o activity? Not really sure what the issue is...

Not sure tbh mate, not really to familiar on how to lower it. Just checked mine and it seems to stick under 100 and I'm on wifi etc soooo.....

I think the only time I noticed it was bad was on an older cased system with a lot of HDD's..
