drop your HT link down to 2000-2200.. and yeah, might just need a bump in vcore too, maybe cpu-nb voltage too

I'll have to give those a try in a bit, i'm prepping an 8800GTX for baking.

Sorry for the double post guys but this is what I got so far:

I've got everything running that I normally have along with Prime, so far so good. Temps are staying around 37c, so if this is stable I might try and push my overclock farther

Hello guys.. I just want to know if it is possible to run my Kingston HyperXblu @ 1600mhz and above on my ta890fxe while overclocking my 1090t.. Got my Processor running at 4.08ghz w/ 47° temp loaded. But My ram is running at 1333mhz only.. =/ If I try to fiddle with ram setting I simply can't get out of bios loading even just by setting the speed @ 1600mhz which my ram supports.

Any help or comment will be appreciated.. Thanks.

Technically anything above 1333MHz is overclocked for AMD's K10.5 architecture IIRC. I'm kind of in the same boat as you, my RAM is rated for 1600 too but anything higher than my current OC and insta-crash. Right now I have it OC'd to 1387, do you have any CPU-ID screens to show your current overclock.

Just running my RAM at auto setting s atm.

Was hoping to OC my ram too, thats why I stopped at my current cpu speed.. If I can't then I might as well push this THUBAN higher. =/

My RAM is at 1600MHZ and 1.525V. I want to take the timings down to 7-8-7-24.

I switched from Intel Q8200 to AMD 1055t two months ago. I am able to get 3.5G on TA890FXE board by using BioStar software, and everything is stable and working fine. I want to OC 1055t in BIOS manually but I could not reproduce 3.5G after so many attempts. Can TA890FXE owners walk me through BIOS on how to set values up? Thanks in advance.

Firstly, read this guide.

Gappo's AMD overclocking guide

If you have any more specific questions after that, feel free to post here. Getting to 3.5GHz only is pretty straightforward, and you shouldn't have much problems.
