Isn't that a real sensor? I got up to 85C and when I emailed Biostar they said anything under 85 was fine, and if I got 85 they said improve your airflow.

Whats a fluke, lol. But yeah my BIOS board temps were way different and when I get my board back I'll know it's a bug if I get high temps again.

Hi, I have been building and tinkering with my system this weekend, trying to get familiar with it haven't done any overclocking yet other than the lame software supporte type Anyway here is my question. I updated my bios to the 89FADA11 version, and I notice after doing so, that at all times the cpu runs 100 percent. In otherwords cool and quiet seems to be disabled in this bios release. Is anyone else getting the same result? Before with the bios that it shipped with this was operational. Since for now I am running the heatsink passively this was a function I really liked. Does anyone know how to renable it? The powernow functions are enabled in the bios...and I see nothing else to set?

By 100% do you mean load or voltage?

Just downgrade the BIOS I guess but this release will be good for me because I never liked having my CPU at 8C and at 800MHZ... my power supply made a weird sound every time I loaded a web page, because the CPU would request more power and the PSU was probably using >50 watts.

I'm sorry, what i mean by 100 percent is 100 percent of cpu speed. In otherwords it is running at it's rated speed steadily insead of dropping back to 800, such as it did before. I sort of liked the feature, but I know it is not condusive to overclocking

I had the processor running 100% at one time, but after fiddling around, I had to reset the BIOS. I can't remember what else (other than C1E) I changed.

If enabling C1E doesn't work, simply download AMD Overdrive or a similar overclocking program and change the voltage to 1.2V and the speed multi down 4X. When you want to game or something, change voltage to 1.35 and multiplier to 16X.

C1E and powernow both were enabled...I even tried disabling and re-enabling it, but for some reason once the bios update was applied it no longer worked. I know I can clock the chip manually, but it's hardly worth the trouble to do that, that would be a pain...oh well I will tinker around with it some more, or maybe when the next bios release comes out it will go back to working lol I had just wondered if anyone else had run into that.
