Yeah but I hate separate Mic and headphones and its absolutely annoying. I like to have my headset (mic and earphones) be lower quality, but be a headset and not seperate.
And don't tell me that old "Slap a zalman on" excuse >.>

They do break easy (if you abuse-rage like me), I got the gamecom ones for like $20, so I am looking for something in the <$40 range for my next PC build .-.

Hi, the corsair HS1 can be found on sale for around 40$. If you can get one it's the best thing money can buy for this price, AFAIK.
Your other option would be those :

http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-ME-52W-Noise-Canceling-Microphone/dp/B000MYPPPE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346511332&sr=8-1&keywords=olympus+me

(BUT DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! A guy on ebay sell them for 6$ shipped, but I am not allowed to post ebay links)

And something like this :
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-202-Professional-Headphones/dp/B003LPTAYI/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1346511371&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=sennheiser+hd+202

This thread is like, 3 months old but I'd just like to comment that I had AD-700s and a Zalman mic and it was a pain. I am by no means an audiophile but I hated that setup. I bought the cheapest microsoft headset I could find ($20 at compusa) and I like that a million times more. Obviously, i can tell the audio quality is lower, but my friends always complained about that Zalman mic. IMO, it's just easier to buy a headeset where the mic is built in.

To have proper noise cancellation with a stand-alone mic you need a decent sound card that feature a noise cancelling option. You can also do it using softwares. That's the major issue that your friends were most likely complaining about.

i have a Xonar DX and had the noise cancelling on. I can't imagine needing anything nicer than that.

Yet again a non headset setup .-.
I was asking for a HEADSET, not a headphone + mic D:
Again, I don't care if the quality is lower, I just want the mic built-in.
For now my Gamecom's are fine.

If you took a second to read my post you would have noticed a headset suggestion. From now I will not answer anymore to this thread.

I don't mean to squeeze in your thread but i am having the same dilemma deciding what headphones to get. I wear a hearing aid and i demand comfortable ear muffs and a lot of bass. I WANT noise canceling too.

However Razer headphones broke on me once in the past and now i use Skull Candy and they actually BROKE on me too. The whole thing snapped.

Now i have no idea what is the next decent headphone that won't break?

I want another Razer but ain't in the mood to spend too much $$ then again i realized it's Labor Day and i could probably get it cheaper brand i dunno.
