Upgrading to X2 3800+ - Page 2

Hey.

He's already got the Geil RAM.

One thing you could do is sell the 4 * 512 sticks, and pick up some DDR500 G.Skill 2*1GB sticks from NewEgg, they're just under $200.

A good setting for a 3800 x2 would be between 2.3 and 2.5 Ghz. What's your cooling system?

Sorry for going off topic -

Gatekeeper, how did you get to 3.2??? Did you get phase change or something? That's an incredible speed... 600MHz faster than the FX60!

Sorry again, he can't recieve PMs.

Yeah, I guess I might as well tell everyone! Well, the way my room is, I have it like right out my window, there is a ledge! I have my computer out of the ledge sitting outside. I also have it water cooled, and I have three cheap fans I bought at Wal-Mart blowing at it at high! Overkill, eh?

Here, I'll take some pictures of it, and show you how I have it positioned! It's quite hilarious...

EDIT

I used Prime95 and it seems to be running stable. I just need to get some pictures of this up, otherwise no one will believe me! XD

You have it...on a window ledge? What if it falls off?

Post it in your thread, so we don't hijack this one.

Well, on my window ledge, there is a flat surface, which is kind of like a roof of sorts. And, I Stapled some wood blocks, so it wont fall off! See, this is what happens when you have no job.

EDIT

Sorry everyone, forgot to read the botom part! XD

Try putting them up on eBay. YOu should probably get about $100 for the 3000+, and somewhere around $150 for all 4 sticks. Sell them in 2 packs of 2, though.
