WC set up but no signal on monitor - Page 2

I might have overtightened the cpu block. I have it up and running in windows now but i don't know how long it will last. How would overtightening the cpu block cause it to freeze or not boot. Also the springs on the maze4 cpu mount are fully compressed. Im guessing thats too tight?

Back off the nut 1/2 turn on each one...you might be stressing the pcb. The spring pressure is more than enough to put pressure on the chip...when the spring bottoms out the pressure goes way up on the circuit board.

Yes Sir, you want good contact but not overtighting, I dont remeber the exact reason why. But I know for a fact you can damage the cores on the CPU & V/C and memory on the V/C(found out the hard way )
