Halo 2 Movies

Does anyone know what I need to make a halo 2 movie? I heard that I needed Action Replay but I'm not for sure...

You don't need action replay. You could use action replay to turn off the hub, but all you need to do is charge up a Plasma pistol and hold 'x' to grab an Oddball, while still charging the plasma pistol. This will cause you to throw both down, and you will not have any weapon in your hands. You can cut the top and bottom of the screen off (like RvB does) and you'll be all set.

As far as capturing video and voices, you need to make sure that the voices are seeded to go through the 'speakers only.' I'm about to start doing the same thing with some friends of mine over XBox Live, so maybe I'll see you around.

Edit: For video capture, obviously it requires a video capture card. Just run the cables through the card then to your TV/Monitor.

To record footage, you can use a TV tuner card with video-in or a camcorder that has firewire.

What exactly do you need help with? The In-game operation or video capturing?

If you still need help stevo1663 with making a halo 2 video or any video off a a game consel (sp?) the basics you need are a capture card/tv tunner card for the pci slot on the mobo, gfx card with vivo (video in video out), or a external video capture device via usb or firerwire.

My opnion, from past experience, on pci based cpature cards/tv tunners they will work fine if you just want to record video but if you also want to record audio you will have to record it from the sound card or onboard sound on the mobo this in turn WILL cause a 1-2sec delay on the characters mouth moving to the audio they are saying and it is a real anoyance.

gfx card with vivo no experience but suspect to have similar effects and quality to a capture card/tvtunner for video and sound card or onboard sound for audio recording.

Now for a camcorder or other external device to capture audio and video and out put via usb or firewire works great since the audio and video are both being recorder at the SAME time and there is no delay or very minimal delay on the characters mouth moving to the audio they are saying.

I have done a lot of video capture work from tape players(vhs), xbox consel, and editing of the video files i have captured this is what i have used to capture all my video from outside sources and it works wonders for me as well as the software that comes with it. What i do is have the xbox video split off in a "Y" addapter one end goes to the tv and the other end as well as the L and R audio goes to the capture device so thus i am recording both audio and video on the device and playing the game on the tv.

Hope this is nice and clear so you understand the steps in recording/captureing video from your xbox, in this case, to your pc. Im also attaching a video fie as a example for you if needed of a halo 2 run to the top of delta halo campaign map which is in .wmv format that i made using this device and software to edit the captured video which was Ulead video studio 7.
