I never said twice as fast, but it is much faster. ~40% according to what I've read.

Sorry, for some reason, I thought I had read you said twice as fast. We'll see. I hope it's snappy, as I have AT&T and I will be getting this phone.

Meh its cool. Haha nice, I hope I get an upgrade from my current contract (I'm in Australia, not the US though). It'll definitely be snappy because iOS 4 on my 3GS 32GB is fast.

Then again, I seldom do anything data intensive on the cellular network anyway. All the 4G mumbo-jumbo is mostly bragging rights in my opinion. I believe far more people do their stuff over wifi than cellular.
If you bought the 3gs around release date, you should be eligable for an upgrade costing $18 and paying for the phone $199 or $299.

I tether ALOT! So to you it might be bragging rights, but I am dying for AT&T to get 4g ready. I love the 3g speeds though dont get me wrong, i can do anything i want but faster is better.

I really hope there is a good reason for me to switch to iOS 4, cause to let go of everything i have set on my iphone makes me sad. Yes its jailbroken and has been since week 1 i got it, and it was my first iphone.

There are a lot of good reasons. Plus you can jail break iOS 4 too if you want, I'm pretty sure you can.

But to jailbreak iOS 4 have to go through the hassle of installing everything, setting up my themes etc. I dunno if i want to do that again Lol.

3G is never gonna be as fast as 3GS. 3G comes hand in hand with iPhone 2G.

The speed difference between 3G and 3GS is amazing.

That's insulting to him and to you because you just don't want to admit he's right.

Face it, just because Android is open doesn't mean it's better. They have NO WHERE NEAR the quality of Apps the iPhone does and they are not as user friendly.
