I agree, i5 or i7 is the way to go, select whichever one is in your budget. Motherboard I need a budget to decide that. As for ram, both of these are cheap and good.

A budget would help quite a bit. Do you have any preference toward Intel or AMD? Right now, I see a 1156 mobo with an i5 being the most suited for you.

3) RAMS lol lets make sure mobo supports these rams.
That's a tad ambiguous....you intend to use the DDR2 RAM you currently have?

Not a bad idea, just attempting to verify.

Ah, you beat me to it. Anyways, the i5-750 looks like it'll be your best bet. It's powerful, a quad, and many users here can vouch for it. That motherboard is also great, with USB 3.0. I agree with the above post.

Ok so as i understand CPU: Intel i5 750 Quad means 4 cores. But hows i5-750 single core compared to e8400 single core? Again as i stated before I do not play any new games and I do not have any app or game that supports dual cores. let alone 4 cores. However, Iam looking more into performance boost.

So would someone be nice and tell me hows the two single cores compare?
yeah yeah...
