Eyefinity Card upgrade

Thread Starter
Right now I'm pushing three 1920x1080 monitors with a 1GB 5850 but I was wondering if it would be smarter to get a 2GB 5870 or a second 1GB 5850. It seems like the extra memory would help handle the the extra textures on the satellite screens.

It is my impression that with 2x5850 1gb's, you'd still be pushing only 1GB of video memory. As far as getting a 2gb model, it's all in how its performing for YOU.

I would go with a nice dual sli 5850 set up, simply for peace of mind.
Or wait until those 6 port eyefinity cards come out.

They are out already, some of them.

If you can swing it I'd get a 5970. 2GB and you'll need the extra muscle for some games at your resolution (assuming you're at 5760x1080 or whatever your resolution is with bezel compensation).
