problem solved.

There was apparently something in the new tcf 480 rad. after taking the whole loop apart and not finding anything I tore down the heatkiller 3 and found 90% of the jet plate was clogged up with a fiborus material. up and running now but I dont see any benifit of going from the swiftech 360 to the tcf 480 temps are within 1 degree identical.
I'm really disappointed in the rad as I expected more.

Leason learned, even if its new, flush it out first.

It's called flux. It's used in the soldering process when making the rads. I've had to clean my EK Supreme HF a couple times now since installing my Thermochill. Even though I thoroughly flushed and cleaned it before installing it in the loop.

Hopefully you've learned a bit about rads too. Your original rad was nowhere near being maxed out so adding more rad had little to no gains for you. Good thing though is you have plenty of room to add some more blocks to your loop if you ever want to.
