Eh? Barely, but thats with the 6800GS at 425/1000, that one is at 485/1300. I would definately go with the 6800GS on this situation, more RAM, and faster RAM along with good overclocking that the 6800GS's have..

It's probably not available in the US as gainward aren't very big there (I read it in a review of a gainward card). It is quite likely to be unavailable to you I'm afraid

Shader model 2 cards can do HDR, what shader model 3 allows is something called: "TRUE HDR", It's just a better version, normal HDR is what's being Hyped, for example the Half Life 2: Lost Coast tech demo uses normal HDR with shader model 2. I might stick with the x800xt because of this, it is that bit cheaper and more powerful. I'm still undecided though, grrrrrr..

(This is the great article that told me all this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dy..._HDR_rendering)

Sorry for bothering you again, but would it be ok to get a shop branded 7800gt, does it make any difference over say a leadtek or MSI card if the clock speeds are the same? I was thinking on buying an OcUK branded 7800gt (overclockers.co.uk).
It's here if you're interested, near the bottom:
