recommend a new case...1st build

Thread Starter
this is my first build and i had finalized all the parts but as i was reading reviews on the cases lots of people said its hard to fit the DVD drive in on this case and im a beginner so could someone recommend another case in the same price range...i primarily chose this case because it looked good but i don't care much about it....also the case came with 2 120mm fans so it would be good if the case came with like 2 fans lol
Thanks in advance

I have the cm 690 II. Massive case for a mid tower and it comes with 3 fans. Has good cooling and great cable management.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119216

the case also has very good 5.25" bays. all you do is flip the switch to unlock, slide the dvd burner in and lock it.

You should look into the Cooler Master Storm Scout, Cooler Master 690 II Advanced and the Cooler Master HAF 922. Here is a video review of each one.

Cooler Master Storm Scout Video Review

Cooler Master 690 II Advanced Video Review

Cooler Master HAF 922 Video Review

I recommend the HAF 922 the most. Because of its size you have extra room for cable management and you can use any CPU cooler and still use a 200mm side intake fan or two 120mm side intake fans.

Avoid the Antec 902 and Antec 900. Here is a video review of the 902 which is an updated Antec 900.

Antec 902 Video Review

It's not that bad but it is definitely worse than the above cases.

I know you mentioned you'd prefer to stay cheaper but a quality case makes building a PC so much easier. Having plenty of interior space to work with and easy cable management makes things easier.

If possible I'd spend a little more on the case because it's one of the few components you can actually reuse with future builds.

I highly recommend the HAF922 - plus it's on sale on newegg right now for the cheapest I've ever seen it.

The Centurion 590 and CM690 is a good choice if you are on a budget. The CM Store has a refurbished 590 on sale for $49.99
http://cmstore.coolermaster-usa.com/...bished&x=0&y=0
The 590 can fit any graphics card and has decent cable management. It looks good too, not too brash and in your face. BTW this is mine.
