New to this dont know what to do???

I currently have a huntkey x7 900watt PSU. I have bought a inno3d 470gtx and going to buy a second one end month.

Both gpu's need in total four 6pin pci-e connectors.
HOW OR WHAT WOULD BE BEST TO CONNECT TO ENOUGH POWER TO MY GPU's?

On my modular psu as indicated on the pics it has

6pin to 6pin - 2red cables
&
8pin to 6+2pin(2x) -2blue cables

heres a link with a review also for the psu. please assist..

Use both the red and blue ones to power both cards. The reason why the blue ones are 6+2 is for versatility.

But having two GTX 470s requires four PCI-E cables, so use both the red and blue cables. I mean, it looks to me like using both the red and blue cables will give you a total of four PCI-E cables.

Edit: Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the two blue cables will be sufficient. So switch the red cables to one blue one right now, and then when the 2nd GTX 470 is added, add the other blue cable and you'll be golden. This is because between the two blue cables, there are four PCI-E connectors.

yep i understand sorry 4 being such a noob

but the blue cable is a 8pin into ("two" 6+2pin)

so in total the psu has 2x 6pin (red) and 4x 6+2pin(blue)

cant i just use the blue or will it be insuffienct power.

Again, the reason for it being 6+2 is for versatility/compatibility. This picture shows me that there are two blue cables that have two PCI-E connectors each making for a total of four PCI-E connectors. So when considering the red cables too, there are a total of six PCI-E connectors.

So switch to the blue cable now, and then when the 2nd GTX 470 comes, connect the other blue cable so that you can satisfy all four connections.

Edit: Doh! I just realized that you missed my edit. I'm sorry about that. I thought you might have still been misunderstanding! I got it now though. You're welcome!
