Doesn't seem worth the risk, if it doesn't work then he's basically paid $280 for similar performance to what he has now.

The 275 has 240 SP's and the 465 has 352 SP's? That's similar.

No doubt worth paying for a 470 if you can get a new one under $350. I got mine for $316 and it made the switch from 2 5770s a little less painful.

Referring to benchmarks/in game performance.

I thought CF 5770's were about the same level as a 5870. Wouldn't that be a downgrade? Or am I mistaken about the performance of the CF 5770

pretty sure a GTX 470 is faster than 5770 CF, I swear I saw someone post a benchmark somewhere...

I have to say the GTX 470 is so good, one of the best thing is the fact they work so well in SLI, so in the future you can add another and get profmance better or near a 5870CF also I have found that they do OC well got my pair at 750core and 925 memory stock voltage.

You are not mistaken about the performance of the CF 5770's but maybe you are mistaken on the performance a GTX 470 has, it trade blows with the 5870 in almost every game and when in Sli, they scale better than CF 5870 and beat them in performance.

If anything, I am overestimating the 5770's.

This benchmark was posted just 5 days ago with the most recent drivers and it concluded that 470<5850 and 480=5870. Unfortunately it doesn't list the 5770. It also doesn't compare SLI/CrossFire so I can't comment on that.

Sorry OP for going off topic.
