I play it on my rig on medium on a lowered resolution, but with dx9.

Definitely get it dude. I play with my rig and it never goes below 25 FPS (except when there is smoke or an explosion), which is awesome! It stays around 50 usually. With your graphics card you will be able to run at a higher resolution, but no eye candy.

i'm buying it either way, it would just be a bummer if my laptop was too slow for it, i was under the impression the cpu wasn't powerful enough

You can run that game fine! medium high settings in DX9 runs great. i use to get 40ish FPS but thats because i got greedy and but somethings on high >. Had 9800gt btw

I ran it w/ my 8800gt on medium at 1080*1920. Ran fine... my 8600gt 512mb ddr3 ran it fine on low settings.

From what ive read you need a decent quad and decent gpu to run it good. Low settings look like butt, medium looked very good.
I saw a bunch of screen shots and there wasnt a big enough difference in my eyes between medium and high, medium looked sweet

He will play medium high at a good resolution. Don't use AA though. Just increase the resolution. Less taxing on FPS.
