Hyper threading crash - Page 2

From what I can see, your voltages seem ok. There's is one thing you need to do first. Since you have Turbo Boost enabled, you need to set your CPU Clock Ratio to 20. When you are in Windows and your CPU becomes utilized, Turbo bumps the multiplier up to 21 so you have an effective overclock of 4.2 GHz (21 x 200). You can verify this using CPU-Z. Try this, turn HT on, and see what happens.

corsair dominator timings should be specific and not generic 8-8-8-24 or auto.
CPU Vcore..................................:1.425
QPI/VTT Voltage............................:1.45 looks high. equal or lesser value than vcore is what i believe is good.
DRAM Voltage...............................:1.63 in bios or 1.65 as long as desktop says 1.65v.

imo 4ghz 24/7 is great for core 17 920. 4.2ghz 24/7 isnt worth the extra voltage or grief.

Thanks for the help. I have a multi of 21 and turbo on, and cpuz picks it up as 4.2ghz. Should I still put it to 20?

And about the rma, it is actualy meant for 8-8-8-24 1600 1.65. I will try out what you said though. Thanks for the help once again.
