Phone and Plan opinion

I am pretty sure I will be going with this deal...I really NEED to get into the smart phone age. Unless I am really surprised i will likely be upgrading my phone, but does any ony have experience with the Nokia Nuron? I am assuming it won't be all that great since it is free with the plan, but I am hoping it will be a good platform to learn the ropes with. I've read some good reviews of it when it was considered a fairly new model.

As far as T Mobile goes, I currently have them and I've never had a problem with voice or text...or billing (which is surprising after what I went through with Quest and Verizon in the past). Works every where I go and that includes the backwoods rural areas of Minnesota. So I really don't have any issues with the provider and I haven't seen better pricing anywhere else.

Though I see by T Mobile's map that there is a lot of "Pink" where you are supposed to have 3G access, but it might not be running fast. All major cities are ofcorse indicated as fast though. Just how slow is 3G anyway? I know the bandwith of it and all that, but I've honestly never used it. Just how shocked am I going to be going from a 10MBs home line and a work connection of several dedicated T lines?

You'll be pretty shocked. I have AT&T and I live in Boston. The speed of my 3G is like 700 kb/s average for download, and upload is just very bad. I mean its slow, but a lot of websites have mobile pages now. Also, for e-mail and things, you won't notice a huge difference. But I would definitely say get a data plan, its so nice being able to use the internet wherever you are.

Yeah...its been hurting me for a while, but lately mobile Internet access has been almost required for work though ofcorse my employer isn't going to furnish me with one that they would let me use it as I like. So I have been itching to hop on board for a while, but my last two year contract finally expired a couple days ago.
