Hey guys, I'm just wondering, can a 5770 play DA:O at max settings at 1080p? Also, BF:BC2? Thanks!

It won't max it @ 1080. Don't let anyone tell you different. It will PLAY on high but the fps will drop well below 30 fps at times.
If you want to max it, either going to have to run medium or get CF or a 5850.

Which game are you talking about? And if it helps, I would be oc'ing the 5770 quite a bit, i'm thinking about getting the msi hawk model.

BC2, and OC will prolly get you 3-5 more fps but will still dip below 30fps at times due to the explosions and all the particles in the wind and breaking buildings and such... Dragon Age shouldn't be any problem, and fps isn't a big deal in rpg as opposed to an online shooter.

depends.... like everything in life....

on winter maps, the snow cloud that blows through the map hurts FPS as does the sand on desert maps...

remember what smoke bombs did to your 7xxx/8xxxx series cards on your old pent4 or dual core rigs... Games were very playable but throw in 40-60 people and smoke ... FPS drops....

You will not see those massive drops with the 5770.

In large battles, and lots of fire Dragon Age will slow down quite a bit. Atleast it did on my 5770, and this was at 1680x1050.
