Yeah, i7 is indeed pretty much the only route to go on if you don't want to starve a 400 series card, especially the 480's

For a single 480 and a 930, should be. You're going to need more if you plan to SLI though.

480 is a good way to go if you got the cash, I've had a lot of people be quite happy with the 5870's though. Once the price comes down, hands down the 480's though. You just got to pay to play! I know I did...
