So I want to build an HTPC and I have been looking at boards, and noted here in this thread that the chipsets that support unlocking are southbridge chipsets, is this correct? If I wanted to buy a sempron 140 and unlock it I would need to be sure that my SB is of the correct archetype, not the northbridge? Only curious because I was reading about FSB OC'ing and it was referring to the northbridge, was wanting to check on the difference, would the northbridge make a difference in choice of boards as well? Also, the FSB, is 1000MHZ/2000MTS capable of a good amount of OC'ing or would it be a bottle neck? Again as noted in this
tutorial, a large disparity between fsb and chips fsb? become a proble as well? Am I confusing the terms for different ones?
