Types of adaptor for Eyefinity.

What type of Passive/Active Display port have you guys used that works best for you? I'd figure I should make this thread to help with some of you guys that are unsure about the type of Display port adapter to use.

Of course there are the ones that are quite expensive that range around ~$100USD such as this Dell:

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...9&sku=330-5521

But I've heard and read from several other websites that you can get away with cheaper models such as:

Can any one confirm any of these or any other kind of Display Port adapter that works for eyefinity? What kind of adapter do you guys use? Was it reliable? What was the cost of it?

The problem with those cheaper ones is that you are forced to use VGA which does not produce the image quality you want. Unfortunately the active display ports which run $100 is your only option if you want to maintain a high image quality.

Hmm, as ghetto as it sounds, I wonder if using one of those adapters listed above and using a VGA to DVI adaptor to it would still work? I just hate the fact that $100 is ridiculous imo.

Hm saw your sig rig; if you only have two displays there's no need for an active DP adapter.

Any active adapter will work, but you will do best avoiding the cheap DAC models. They tend to have the colors screwed up a bit, and sometimes they will have weird lines and flicker.
