IE 8 problems with Windows 7 x64

Thread Starter
I am running Windows 7 Home upgrade x64, which I have been for a while now. All of a sudden when I open a web page, some of the text and pics are not viewable. Like newegg.com. When I highlight computer hardware, nothing shows up but a white box, same with other text. Same if I click on computer hardware and open it. I believe the links are still there, but I just cant see them. Doesnt happen with word documents.

I havent changed anything that I remember. Just happened one day when I booted up.

I have tried installing firefox, removing IE 8 through turn windows features on or off , with no results. Reinstalled IE 8 and no help. Any suggestions?

Does the same happen with Firefox? I suggest you ditch IE8 and use either Opera or Firefox.
