Prototype display issue help

Thread Starter
I just Re installed prototype from steam and everytime I go to launch it my tv says mode not supported. The only other game that does it is crysis. Sorta all started to happen when I picked up another 5870. Any ideas?
Thanks

Well, I can't comment on ATI drivers... but as far as Prototype... the port was shoddy at best. I was the lucky few to have it run relatively problemless, lots of people couldn't even get sound or mouse responsiveness.

Are you sure it's not just set to a resolution that the screen doesn't support? Check out the .ini files (can't remember where off the top of my head sorry) and modify the X/Y values.

Thanks for the reply, maybe its just a bug every other game runs fine at 1920x1080 except for crysis which also gives me mode not supported but i was atleast able to window it and set it to 1680x1050 to play it. Do you think going from a moniter to a tv would cause this?
