EP45-UD3LR RAM issue

Thread Starter
Hello guys. I've been trying to find the right answer to my newbie question but i can't really find the answer, or i'm not too good at understanding the overclocking stuff. So, as the topic subject says, my Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR, has all the default bios settings, my RAM memory (2x2GB A-DATA DDR2 1066G) should work at 1066 right ?, well, as my hardware provider told me, this motherboard sets all ram seting to its default, so my ram works at 800, they adviced me to change the settings so that my ram could work at 1066. As i'm new to this OC stuff, i kindly as your advice, so that i know what do i need to change in order to make my RAM work at 1066. I appreciate all help i can get. Thanks in advance.

When you go into the BIOS under the motherboard intelligent tweaker section, look for the ram divider setting. If its set to auto it should 800MHz for the RAM below it. Set that to manual and change the RAM divider displayed until it shows your frequency at 1066MHz. From there go into the RAM settings and set your latencies to what the RAM kit is suggested to run at. The final thing before exiting the BIOS would be ensuring that the RAM voltage is manually set to its correct value.
