Silly SSFIV Question...

When it was originally announced, Capcom hinted there was some sort of incentive to people who owned the original. Is that still true, or did they screw us by releasing a half-sequel at full price? I was pretty pissed to buy SSIV really early, and to find like a couple weeks later Super Street Fighter IV was coming out in a few months.

I'm playing BlazBlue now, and preordered Marvel vs Capcom 3, but I'm reluctant to buy SSFIV. As soon as I do, they'll announce Super Street Fighter IV Turbo...

If you have a save from the original SFIV then all of your characters get 2 extra colors, which are actually the shaders from the PC version of the game. Also this is much more of a sequal than most SF sequals just to let you know. It's also much more of a sequal than blazblue: continuum shift that's coming out in july.

What exactly will be different about Continuum Shift? Gamespot has like, no details about it.

SSFIV is only $40, so it's not full price. Easily worth it because the sheer amount of new characters and changes made.

Continuum Shift has two new characters and rebalancing for the existing characters. Not sure about anything these though.

I'm already in over my head trying to learn all of the characters there are. BlazBlue has been great so far, but every character is WAY different. Also, Haku-Men and V13 are really cheap when played by the computer.

My main is probably Taokaka, but Litchi is a close 2nd. I can't figure out how to use Litchi's 2nd Distortion Drive, with her staff. Is it supposed to be that weak? I can't seem to do well with Noel. Her moves are just confusing to figure out where they're going to hit. Maybe more practice.

Blazblue was great when it first came out. I got in to the tourney scene, and actually got 5th place at SeB (South East Battles) in atlanta. Then I just kinda stopped playing after I got the platinum trophy, and Tekken 6 came out. I'm hoping the sequal fixes some balance issues, I think that's what really killed the games community.

Yeah that's what killed me on Blaz. There was some pretty severe balance issues. It was really fun, but some characters were at too obvious of a disadvantage in a lot of matchups.
