I have a T-Mobile HD2 (LEO) that I bought for $104 a month ago. I extended my contract for 2 years.

$200 cancellation fee....

I really don't like the phone, as it's got WinCrap on it. I'd love Android on the phone, though XDA-Developers forums claim it'll take a while longer for them to port over the linux kernal, let alone the the N1 ROM + HTC Incredible drivers/apps.

T-Mobile wants me to stay with them so they're offering me a MyTouch Slide for $179 to try to see if I like it or not, a 14 day trial.

I'm also eyeing the HTC EVO (HD2 Supercharged CDMA for Sprint with Android) and the HTC Incredible (HD2 w/ smaller screen CDMA with Android on Verizon).

I'm sure if I sell my HD2 I can get at least $500, which I'd actually MAKE $100+ off of it.

What should I do?

Go with either Sprint or Verizon depending on whoever has the best coverage for you. If both are okay, go with Sprint due to the cheaper plans. Verizon is hella $$$$$$$

I think with my job I get a 20% discount on Verizon. I'm not sure if I should factor that into the equation.

Also, I'm worried that Sprint (being a fairly unpopular carrier) is getting pummelled with all of these new activations and their network isn't equipped to handle the load of all of these data-intensive devices....

Could we be seeing another AT&T after the iPhone?

I doubt it. You have to remember Sprint only sold 150k EVO's like their Palm Pre launch day. AT&T sold a million with a total of 7 (or was it 14?) million iPhone customers. From the latest report from WSJ, AT&T's network had 50% more data usage than ALL CARRIERS combined! People talk trash about AT&T's network, but if this was originally released on Verizon, their network would have crashed even worst

I get 25% off all carriers and Verizon is still too much for me. Their plans start higher than everyone so even with the discount, it's still more

Find out what's best for you. The Sprint employee plans are great. The EVO 4G is great. Verizon just cost too much IMO.

So now I have two decisions. EVO vs Incredible.
And should I take T-Mobile's offer of the MyTouch Slide to try to keep me, and then leave them anyways? Sounds like kind of an ******* thing to do. They're trying to keep me with the company so they give me another discount and I just take it and leave anyways, selling the phone for extra $$$$.

Lol...I also found it funny, that when you call for tech support on the phone, they make you wait on hold for 15 minutes, but when you call and select "CANCEL CONTRACT" on their phone system, you get connected immediately!

Hmm that really depends on their current ETF? If you get another phone, will they renew your 2 year from today (full ETF) on or no extension at all (current prorated ETF)? If no extension, I say go for it.

Also, for better resale value, I say get the HTC HD2. It should cost you only $99 or $149 and you can flip it easily for $400-450

This, my experience with the T-Mobile and Sprint services have sucked eggs.

I would only get a phone from AT&T or Verizon, but mainly Verizon because they keep up with the new phones.

Hehe I don't like Windows Mobile either, but the resale value is great

Sell the HD2 and MyTouch Slide to make up for the fees and you're set!
