Hello,

ive just re-installed splinter cell chaos theory, my problem is that most of the time (85%) i cannot use the night vision googles, it just shows white as if there was too much light.

but i have seen walkthough of people using them on places i try, and i cant, also, i try to use them on very dark places and no luck.

any clues? its VERY annoying not beeing able to use them. specially in this game.

I don't have any experience with this game on PC, but it is probably to do with some sort of legacy feature which isn't enabled by default or is conflicting with something else in your new computer.

Try running the program in winxp mode, or even try disabling desktop composition (right click exe, properties).

Also try using vsync, or forcing it via ccc (wait for vertical refresh). It's sometimes the dumbest little setting that make these old games work right.

thanks. it wasnt anything of those.

but i found out what it was. setting the "shader mode" to 3.0. would do this. if i set it to 2.0, everything works fine. i can max out everything else.

thanks anyways.
