No, that line of thought is dangerous. Forcing people to conform isnt a good thing in many cases.

Instead of going straight to the authorities, Mr Lamo disclosed the information to "a friend" who had worked as an agent in the Army counter intelligence unit.

"He put me in touch with some of his former colleagues who he felt could handle the issue in a low key way," he said.
Low key huh? Your in the news section now buddy.

...again, what the hell does this have to do with supporting the troops?
He's a trollin...

'If you are' in the Intel community, then you know who that quote is from. Right?

I'll give you a hint, ex-CIA member who wrote a book in the 80's condemning his former employers lies and deceit upon US taxpayers in the Afghan/Russian situation.

Quote:
"The US Intelligence Community has no intelligence or intellect in their small community of disorganized corporate pirates at this time"
Pretty much the reason why so much of their wrong doing is very apparent now.

BTW: As it stands, the intelligence community are only corporate yes-men. They have nothing to do with the safety of Americans. Just the safety of international business.

Since I hang with Cryptographers, there is one very important thing I've learned,
'those who work in the intel community don't talk about it'!

Anything else you would like to share?

i actually applaud the hacker, secret info is secret, although the video isnt, BUT it still concerns our soldiers, and you know iran or NK would want this info when it comes to weapons technology.

YAH! How is that video that he leaked classified? When I think of classified I think of national security risks. Not a video that shows the Army in a bad light.

This country is EFFED without people who expose injustices.

It seems that everybody is focusing on the Gunship video which IMO is a good thing to come to light for the simple reason that what happened there was wrong... however, this was clearly not all that was taken and leaked, and as such I can understand the person who decided to blow the whistle... Information is power and if your enemies have this power over you, you loose...
