Actually, it's not stupid, you just have a problem seeing the connection!

Your seem to think in backwards logic

I also find it absolutely hilarious that the music companies cry so hard about piracy.....Music SHOULD be free.... But heck I understand that it costs the record companies 15 dollars to make a cd.....oh wait.

No, it's like saying Bob went over to Jim's house and made a photocopy of one of Jim's stories to keep at home to read because he liked it so much, and Jim expects millions in damages. Down the street, Ray kills Bill's entire family and gets a slap on the wrist.

I should start holding up retail music stores at gunpoint the next time a CD I like comes out, there seems to be less risk involved than pirating nowadays...

Why should music be free? If you feel that way about music, do you also feel that movies should be free as well? How about live venues? car washes? pizza?

The examples stated above are all services offered by a person, group or company. Why is it that music should be free?

I don't understand why many people feel music should free. I am a musician, not for profit, but for personal enrichment. I don't sell my music, but I can tell you this: producing tracks sometimes takes days or weeks. Its a lot of time and effort - time and effort that I am not willing to throw away because most of society is after nothing more than a free lunch.

Are you telling me that all the music I played in my house, I could have charged for it? And, if they didn't pay, I could have sued them? OMG I'm raging so hard right now, it's not even funny. Inb4 Sarcasm Meters are broken

They are cheap and don't have an understanding of what it takes to make money!

So let me get this straight, since Limewire hasn't made any "meaningful" attempts to prevent infringement they are held responsible for ALL of the copyright infringement that takes place with their application.

Okay....So.... Are all of the major gun manufacturers ready to take responsibility for all of the deaths that occur do to their firearms?

This is dumb.
