Its showing how punishments commonly have no connection to the severity of the crime. Like how downloading an album can get you fined more than the average wrongful death settlement.

Okay....So.... Are all of the major gun manufacturers ready to take responsibility for all of the deaths that occur do to their firearms?

This is dumb.
Do you have a powerful and wealthy lobby to make that investment?

If you did, it could happen... Remember, America is about the bottom dollar, it's not about what is good for the people, or what is just!

It's 'Money Matters'!

You need to understand, you are of a 'value', like a 'commodity'. Your place is only equated to your gain!

this is irrelevant. i mean sure its absurd but limewire stole x profits from the music industry and BP cause y money worth of damages and more z money worth for recovery efforts.
Its not about who owes more. I about how much money each company owned to fix their self created problem. If 69mill is enough to fix the oil spill then so be it(thou i doubt it). And if limewire theoretically caused 1bil in lost money to the music industry then so be that too(i highly doubt this too).

If I go out in the Gulf and take some oil, would that be pirating oil?
