P6X58D Prem - Does it matter which PCIE slot?

Hey guys,

Just curious if which PCIE slot you chose to plug in your graphics card has any effect on its performance?

I currently have mine plugged into the middle (lower of the two dark blue) PCIE Express 2.0 slot:

Note the specs of my board:

Code:
PCI Express 2.0 x16
3 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (at x16/x8/x8 or x16/x16/x1 mode)

Since the second slot can apparently switch between x8 and x16, it should be at x16 when no other cards are installed ..

Thank you for your response.

Where would I check to see if its set to 16x?

Is there a place in the bios to set it to 16x 16x 1x vs. 16x 8x 8x?

It should autimatically make the switch. Use GPU-Z for checking the available bandwidth ..
