Opteron 146 2740MHz Prime95 Stable 12+

Thread Starter
Just wanted to let people "officially" know the success I am having with the Opteron line of processors. My motherboard has a HTT lock of 274 with the official bios version I am running. I will be flashing my bios with a beta version again so I can overcome that HTT lock. This will actually be my 24/7 overclock now.

Reasoning, is I fumbled across an application called A64tweaker v0.31 that enabled me to run a 10:14 ratio instead of a 10:15. Wish I could run a 10:13 though that would be ideal. My ram craps out anything over 218MHz because it is BH-5 memory and needs a lot more voltage then the 2.8 volts I can give it with this motherboard. There is a beta version v0.60.

You can visit my post on the Official AMD Stable Overclock Thread. I encourage all of you out there to take the time to gather some data and post your results on this thread. This will be such a useful tool to compare and analyze AMD processors. Calling all Opteron owners out there to post their results so there is a good statistical database for the legitamacy of the processors we hold in such high regard.

Very nice overclock, euphoric. I've been following your progress, as well as a couple other people, to see what kind of results I can expect when I get my new CPU and ASRock DualSATA. Keep updating, I want to see you get to 3 Ghz.

Work on that memory, you want it at least at 200mhz

use this overclocking calculator to help with dividers and clocks..

Yea, it will not boot running at 166MHz Memory, so it is either 133Mhz or 150Mhz memory settings. I need more voltage, without it I am stuck with around or under the 215GHz area. I tried a volt mod but the one I attempted only gave me windows errors and audible motherboard errors.
