[NyTimes] Imagining the Worst in BP’s Future - Page 6

lol, an oil company will never go under(until oil is gone), we need them. They won't pay people what they should, and those affected who have the strongest case will be delayed by BP in court for years to come.

It is like I was saying in another thread before someone got all butt hurt, now is the time to invest in something and its BP. It is just like goldman sachs before the bailout when their stock was worth a dollar something, now, if you had invested a couple grand, you would have six figures. Why? Because they're not going away.

It seems like more times than not, it takes a tramatic event in a person's life to get them to clean up their life, and get off a drug or alcohol addiction.

The sad thing is even this terrible distaster won't be enough I think. I wonder what it will take for america to get off it's drug?

Yes, lets do that, then the credit crunch the world has just experienced will look like a rainy day compared to the economic hurricane that BP's demise will cause.

Please. For heavens sake. Look at the bigger picture and think before you post.

Well, we're just like any other species. We eat, sleep, breath and make fatal mistakes but we adapt. We'll all die out someday. Previous life on this planet will show us that. Funny thing is, no matter how much we try to save the earth, we'll eventually run out of room, resources and anything else you can think of unless we can get our asses moving on real space exploration. Sadly, its just how life goes

Isle Grande Terre, Louisiana now looks like a giant oil dump because of this. BP's stocks are declining fast, but they probably won't declare bankruptcy. It's hard to ignore the fact that human technology has been detrimental to the Earth in many ways; though it has become a huge part of our lives that we can't ignore or lose. But the problems caused by it tend to be covered up carelessly or just brushed aside.
