I think you were able to jump higher in COD1 if you had more fps, also for guns like the PPSH you'd shoot faster, It was really just from the players view but whenever we did jumps we would look at the ground to increase our fps.

Overclocking has nothing to do with actual game performance increases. The overclocking just influences the amount of cycles the CPU can do per second, which increases processing power marginally, but the games code still controls all the miscellaneous features like what they mentioned. Overclocking has no effect on the game itself besides framerate and speed, not actual game mechanics.
