Macbook vs Macbook Pro, advice needed - Page 2

Definitely the Pro version, but...the 13" version? IMO that's way too small/cramped to work with; 15" is the sweet spot.

Hey guys great news! Its called a PC!

My Laptop, this is the next version of mine actually, just over 1k. Macs are just too expensive for the lack of power they give. If you want battery life and such, do some research. There are computers out there with up to a day's worth of battery life for pretty cheap.

Yes. I think $169 difference for those upgrades are worth it! At least for me, sexier with more ram is worth $100 alone =).

And exactly what does this add to this thread? The guy's asking for advice on which model to get and you just come in here with trolling. Reported.

I wouldn't call that trolling, more voicing an opinion. See it how you do.

Specs on the comps would help, mind adding links to each one on op?
Pro seems to be the better bet. Seeing how expensive DDR3 RAM is worth for laptops, I would say it is worth the extra money. But reiterating my point made in an earlier post........ save some money.

That thing costs more than the MacBook Pro (after the iPod touch rebate). It is beyond ugly, and weighs twice as much. And I'm sure it doesn't get 10hrs of battery life. There's no way I'm carrying around a 17 inch laptop to lecture.

Also none of the specs are better, except a slightly larger hard drive, which I don't care about as most of my computing is cloud based.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I'm going with the Pro.

I don't know about that, IMO the 13" is just right. Not too big or too small, and the resolution is 1280x800 which is fine for use on the go. When I'm home I can just hook it up to my 23" anyway. And of course there's the price difference.

But I'd definitely pay the little extra for the Pro.
