1055t @ 4ghz. Questions.

Thread Starter
FSB 286
Mult: 14
Voltage: 1.45

Rest settings are on auto. Is that safe or I should set some manual ?
I'm really new to OC but I want 4ghz on my new chip.

you should get a nb voltage monitor and then see what voltage it sets it as on auto. then lock it down. i personally think you should lock everything other than your Vcpu down to stock. this provides you with less power draw required to do your OC.

eventually you will need to provide more voltage to your northbridge and Ram

Do not use auto settings.

What cooler do you have by the way.

Anyway here is my easy route (The route i took).

i set nb 1.4v, sb 1.3v, cpu-nb 1.5v, and underclock ram/ht.

This eliminates the instability of Northbridge, ram, soutbidge, and ht. Then work on Cpu by upping fsb and testing with each 100mhz jump. Each time ram goes over stock underclock ram again.

After getting cpu stable then work on lowering voltage on other components.

actually there is a youtube video about this with the same cpu and mobo, the guy demonstrates how he overclocks it to 4ghz and runes prime stable for 3 hours with all settings on auto except cpu voltage ( set to 1.45 ) and adjusted the FSB to get the speed, dont forget to put down the divider of your memory manually as auto will turn it wayyyyy below recommended settings

Do not use his method. He has proven this overclock is not stable at 4ghz.

Hi, I'm new.

How do you overclock the 1055T? I am completely new to this. Noob noob noob!

I've overclocked my Motorola Droid to 1.2ghz (up from 550mhz) but I've never tried anything with a computer. Could anyone show me the ropes? I would appreciate. I'll be your new best friend!
