First it's probably console screenshots, always look worse than a good PC. Second most open world games don't look as good due to the heavy load the draw distance places on the GPU. Most open world gameshave this issue.

So. lets clear something up. You dont know what you are talking about. i suggest you go learn about FOSE.

Wow. You really don't have any reading comprehension about you.

FOSE IS A MOD. IT WILL WORK.

Give it two weeks and it will work.

Wanna know the funny thing? I've been using FOSE for a year now. I don't run an xliveless mod or anything. FOMM neatly does that for me. And guess what? FOMM will be updated to work with NV within two weeks as well.

read the bottom.

FOSE does not support:
Retail DVD and Steam build 1.0.0.12 (the original pre-patch version of Fallout) - if you have this version, update to 1.7.0.3
Russian DVD version of Fallout 3 (it uses Starforce encryption on Fallout3.exe)
Direct2Drive version of Fallout 3 (it encrypts the Fallout3.exe) - download the game from Steam if you would like to use a digital download service
Polish DVD version of Fallout 3 (it uses SafeDisc copy protection on Fallout3.exe)

* FOSE is incompatible with Windows Live, so when running via fose_loader.exe, Live will be disabled. As Live operates as a cheat-detection tool similar to Punkbuster or VAC, FOSE's in-memory modifications are inherently incomptible. Don't worry about being banned or anything like that, everything still works when running Fallout normally. To download DLC, launch fallout3.exe directly instead of via the loader. After downloading the DLC, you will then need to move the DLC files in to the Fallout data folders to use them like any other mod.
FOSE is the equivalent of a hack, not a mod. it replaces code in your memory with other code. Which puts it at odds with certain things.

Also notice how it doesnt work with certain versions.

Valve is a great company now, but look at all the amazing companies of the past that have fallen so hard. To name a few Epic has gone from a PC gaming wonder to a console kitty play fest, Bioware went from an amazing RPG PC game house to a an action oriented RPG DLC milking cow, ID software is... well where the heck are they? Blizzard merged with Activision and well Activision is Activision... Infinity Ward went from being the best FPS company to easily the worst.

What happens when Valve take the plunge as they all inevitably do.

BE CAREFUL PEOPLE!

(Although I do buy all my game on steam... I am just scared of their future)
Steam is a content provider... A distributor only slightly different from newegg. I think steam/valve gets falsely accused of things that the developers (usually the publishers) that put these games out do. Like thier ridiculous forms of DRM. Like for example silent hunter 5(not sure if it was on steam but i believe i recall seeing it, correct me if im wrong), was it's steam's fault that it required a constant internet connection?? Or was it a stipulation due to the contract they signed with the publisher to outlet it through thier steam service? Im fairly certain it would be the later of the two.

Pitchforks are never effective when pointed at the wrong monster.
