Good quality earphones?

Thread Starter
Okay guys, I am here to say that I am sick and tired of crappy earphones. Ever pair I have ever had has cost me anywhere from 20-50 bucks, all have died one way or another in 6 months or less.

What i'm looking for is a good pair of earphones that are cheap and will last longer than 6 months. Any suggestions?

Umm, Ipod? lol and i'm looking at earphones aka earbuds, not headphones.

Or maybe even portable headphones, if they will last longer than earbuds.

Check out the sleek audio earphones. Even their lowest model sounds leaps and bounds over others that I have used. When I got mine, amazon was selling them 50% off, so it came out to $40

Earphones is same as headphones. What you want are IEM's, which will go in your ear a little bit like earplugs. They tend to be better quality then earbuds.

If you're looking for something indestructible with the best sound for the money, go for the SoundMagic PL-50s (I know the name sounds cheesy, but trust me, these are comparable to Shures). If not, get the Kanon MD-52s. The new design is pretty solid, but I would only trust it to last about a year, but they're only $5, and have sound quality equivalent to the SoundMagic PL-30s (SoundMagic's previous top of the line earphones)
