no need to have the 2nd mobo buddy. You can use the 955 with the 890 board. save you some bucks there

How are you limited in your operating system choices? Assuming the OP is using windows 7, there will be no issue...I can't speak for other OS's as I haven't raided with anything other than 7. As long as the motherboard is compatible with RAID, it should work. RAID is probably my favorite investment in my computer, and I highly recommend considering it.

the one of which i cant speak of. and some linuxes. i enjoy the speed of raid don't get me wrong. but next time im investing in a dedicated RAID card.
